Most of us are measured by our treasures, so you can often catch us chasing or envying someone else’s.

We can either become overly concerned with how we are going to accumulate more or justify our excuses as to why we aren’t “measuring up”.

By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”  Proverbs 24:3-4

It’s not enough to have the knowledge. The rare and beautiful treasures come from knowing what to do with that knowledge!

Let’s look at an obvious treasure, money.

It’s not enough to have the money, the rare and beautiful treasures come from knowing what to do with that money!

What will you spend your money on, with, for…? The answers are indicators of what you treasure.

Generous with a little, you’ll be more generous with a lot. If you save money to provide memorable experiences for others now, you can do more with more.

Current problems with what you do with your money now, will only increase the more money you have.

How you choose to spend your money can either solve or create problems.

Time is another popular treasure.

It’s not enough to have time, the rare and beautiful treasures come from knowing how best to use that time!

What will you spend your time on, with, for…? Again, the answers are indicators of what you treasure.

Do you use “not enough time” as an excuse to not get the things done that you know you should have?

More time is not the issue, how you choose to prioritize your focus on that time can either solve or create problems.

One of the greatest treasures in life is love.

It’s not about having love, the rare and beautiful treasures come from knowing how best to share that love!

Love is probably one of the most profound of any treasure known to human existence. Just like money and time, it too can be misused and have costly consequences. Unlike money and time, the more love we invest into the lives of others, the return on that investment is the rarest and most beautiful treasure of all!
